Freelance Writing: An Undermined Goldmine?

scaling the heights fast announcement

It’s been a while on here. How’s writing and freelance writing, hope you’re finding it interesting?

Well, I have a great news for you today.

Guess what?

It’s something I have always dreamt of, I have worked hard for it, and I’m glad it’s coming into fruition.

What could that be? (The Background)

It was in August last year, shortly after my final exams in the University. I stumbled on a goldmine, and dedicated my time to learning about it. Through this Facebook group, I learnt a lot about Freelance writing, how to successfully kick-start a career, and why you should become a freelance writer too.

Immediately I learnt about it, I got to work, and the results so far have been amazing.

It’s been 9 months already, and I cherish the time and efforts I have put in to be well acquainted about this goldmine, and I’m sure you will too

What have I achieved so far in Freelance Writing?

Freelance writing is an undermined goldmine for anyone who still wishes to go places as an online entrepreneur. During my short journey as one, I have gained recognition, and increased my earning potentials in the process.

I’m not there yet, but during this short period, I’ve written articles for online platforms such as The Huffington Post, Engadget, Tweak Your Biz, Tech Cocktail and so on.  Of course, without freelance writing, I would never have dreamt of approaching them in my life. Likewise, I’ve increased my online visibility through my social media profiles such as Twitter and LinkedIn.

Is that all?

Well, it isn’t. Freelance Writing opened my eyes to blogging (Even though I’ve been doing so in the past). In the last few months, I’ve focussed on blogging about Freelance writing, and I’ve received positive feedback from numerous readers on how it’s transformed their lives positively.

Why am I saying all these?

The Freelance economy is soaring, and millennials are keying into it. In the United States alone, there are about 53 million people doing freelance work. In the EU labour market, the gig economy (as it’s fondly called) is growing faster. Freelancers are the fastest growing group in the EU labour market as their numbers have increased by 45% from just under 6.2 million to 8.9 million in 2013.

The reality is that, Freelancing has come to stay. Many have accepted it as a job, and the numbers will continue increasing.

Freelance writing, an integral part of online business accounts for a large chunk of the gig economy.

Freelance writers fill this void of creating contents for their clients all over the world. They are involved in series of activities such as Web Content creation, guest posting, ghost writing, lead generation, feature writing, B2B/B2C writing and the list is endless.

Don’t just follow the majority

The statistics above buttresses the fact that freelance writing has come to stay. Many persons who have read about this, are eager to delve into it but end up doing it the wrong way. Many beginners are eager to join the industry but don’t know where or how to start. They don’t know what it takes to be successful as a beginner in freelance Writing. At the end of the day, they end up dejected, and quit afterwards.

Of course, this is a fundamental problem, which needs to be addressed urgently.

My Upcoming E-book (An Announcement)

To address this, I’ve created an eBook to answer the basic questions of freelance writing for beginners. The e-book, (Which is a compendium of my blog posts) is for Beginner Freelance Writers, and with it, they will understand the freelance writing industry better, and will achieve success within a short period of time.
